My name is Les Lieurance. I grew up a wrestler and I believe that wrestling is the greatest sport in the world. In high school, I wrestled under Andrew Niemczyk in Beloit Kansas and under Ernie Jones at Daniel Webster in Tulsa, OK. I look back and realize how much of an honor it was to be coached by these coaches.
Wrestling has had a huge part in molding me into the person that I am today. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that most people who wrestle, will not wrestle in college. I’ve come to the conclusion that wrestling imitates life. Wrestling teaches people about life…. How to work hard, how to set goals for your self, How to handle your victories, How to handle your losses, and How to be self disciplined. These are essential qualities to have as an adult. For those that have wrestled, you are part of a brotherhood that most people will never understand.
Combining My Two Passions — Wrestling and Programming
As an adult, I decided to become a web developer. I have been a programmer for almost twenty years. About five years ago, I noticed that there wasn’t any wrestling club websites that really catered to a wrestling club. I decided to use my love of wrestling and my programming capabilities to create a web site that helps people better run a wrestling club.
One of the reasons I created this blog was to write articles that can help the wrestling community. I want to use this blog as your one stop place to get information about wrestling. It doesn’t matter whether your a parent that is new to wrestling, or a wrestler that has wrestled for years, or whether your a seasoned wrestling coach. My mission is to provide information to educate the wrestling community and help grow this sport.
I hope you enjoy this blog. Fee free to go to our contact page if you have questions. I would love to hear from you.
