Today I am reviewing the UnDefeated® Chocolate Chip Sport Cookie. I recently bought this cookie from worldwide sports. I bought the 3 pack for $9.99. This cookie is marketed as a great source of energy for a wrestler. My son and I both tried the cookie. Here is an honest review of the product from and actual wrestler.
Undefeated Sports Cookie Details
The wrapper says the cookie is calorically dense cookie with short, medium, and long chain carbohydrates with electrolytes and Omega 3 to provide the necessary nutrients for a pre-event snack or a post recovery meal. Here is some additional Info and pictures of the cookie.
- 10 grams of protein
- Vegan. No dairy products.
- No preservatives and nothing artificial.
What I Like about the Sports Cookie
Believe it or not, the cookie actually tastes decent. It tastes like a cookie. Not like a cookie you would buy from a store, but more like a protein bar you would buy from a store like GNC. The cookie has a decent taste.
I really like the fact that the cookie has a mixture of different types of carbs so that your body is burning both simple and complex carbs. I also like the fact that the cookie has a bunch of different vitamins and electrolytes. While it’s “healthy”, I would consider using this cooking at wrestling events. At home, I wouldn’t consider this cookie as part of a well rounded wrestling diet.
Here is a video I recorded of my son eating the cookie for the first time. He didn’t like it a first, but after a couple of bites, he said he wanted more. An hour later he asked me for another cookie.
What I Don’t Like about the Sports Cookie
My only gripe about this sports cookie is the price. I’m not saying I wouldn’t buy this product, but I do think 3 bucks for a single cookie is a little too much. If I was to suggest something to the vendor, I would suggest lowering the cost to 2 bucks if you buy two dozen.
My Opinion on the Sports Cookie
Overall I give the cookie a thumbs up. The price is a little high, but the cookie serves a good purpose for wrestling. I will buy this cookie again, but only for two day tournaments when my son has to make weight twice in one day and only has a one pound allowance.
If there is more than a day before weigh-ins, I think its better to eat Nutrient Dense Foods. If you only have one day to make weight twice, I believe it will give a wrestler the energy needed to wrestle all day and still make weight. You can also buy peanut butter cookies.
I would recommend buying this cookie for two day wrestling tournaments only.
